We aren't going to have any homework or tests this week because of PSSA math testing. We have begun reading The Outsiders. All reading will be done in class. So far the students seem to be enjoying the novel. We will have a reading quiz after every 2 chapters. We will also complete vocabulary, video journals, reading questions, and various projects as we move through the book.
The English Language Arts Pennsylvania State School Assessment (PSSA) seemed to be a huge success. Students were motivated to do their best. They were very happy with the parent messages on Tuesday, the cookies on Wednesday, and the tootsee rolls on Thursday. They went into the test each day with a smile on their faces and a positive attitude. They seem very confident in their work. I just wanted to share a few pictures from the past few days.
