August 29 - September 2

English
Periods 1, 4, 6, & 8

Students should bring home their course syllabus to be signed by a parent/guardian.  All documents should be returned to Mrs. Fowler by Friday.

On Monday, Mrs. Fowler reviewed the course syllabus/rules and procedures with her classes.  Students are in the computer lab on Tuesday and Wednesday for beginning of the year diagnostic testing.  Students will complete an interview activity on Thursday.  Books will be passed out on Thursday, and students will begin the unit 1 introduction on Friday. 

*Students will rarely have homework unless they fail to complete their work during class.  The only homework they have this week is to get the course syllabus signed.


Career Exploration
Periods 3 & 7

On Monday, Mrs. Fowler reviewed the course syllabus/rules and procedures with her classes.  This week students will learn about the importance of speaking and listening effectively in an interview.  Students will complete employment applications and participate in mock interviews.

Students will not have any homework in this course.

PSSA SSR
Period 2 Days A & B

Students should turn in a signed course syllabus by Friday.  Students will take beginning of the year diagnostic testing this week.  We will visit the library on September 2nd and September 6th to obtain books to read during class.
