It is difficult to say what we will get done this week because of yesterday's cancellation and the impending storm. Cancellations or not, the Study Island topics "Meaning and Tone" and "Sound and Structure" are due on Friday.
Students are writing an essay in response to the following prompt: Authors often use sound and structure to convey meaning in poetry. How does Poe use sound and structure to create meaning in "The Bells"?
I cannot give a due date for the essay assignment yet. I want to wait and see what happens Wednesday and Thursday. Students will work on the essay in class with a partner. They must hand in a graphic organizer (bug) with their final copy.
