*"The Bells" essay is due on Monday (Feb. 12) for periods 5&6. The essay is due on Tuesday for period 2.
*"Meaning and Tone" and "Sound and Structure" are due Monday.
*"Theme" is due Tuesday.
*"Literary Point of View" is due Wednesday
*"Figurative Meanings" is due Friday
This week students will be reading "Silent Spring." Students will focus on imagery, verb mood, comprehension, vocabulary, and analysis.
Students will also complete a text dependent analysis (essay) at the end of the week. See page four for assignment.

The "Silent Spring" test is tentatively scheduled for Monday. There is a high likelihood that we will have to push it back a day or two.
As always, it's never too early to begin preparing for the test.
