Grade 7
Students will continue working on improving their writing skills this week via essays, individualized feedback, and error-embedded passages. There will be a grammar quiz on Friday. It will focus on titles of articles and quotes.
*The role model essay was due on Friday. If your student hasn't turned it in, he/she needs to get it to me ASAP. This is a 100 point assignment.
*The unusual food essay is due at the end of the period tomorrow. If your student doesn't finish during class, he/she is expected to do it for homework.
Grade 9
Students will work on identifying theme in a short story. We will do whole-group instruction, followed by some partner work, and end with individual assessment. There will be a grammar quiz on Friday. It will focus on commas, names of people/places, and question marks.
