Grade 7
Students will be finishing up the argumentation unit this week. Students need to hand in their TV show essays by the end of the day on Tuesday. Students will complete their final argumentative essay on Wednesday/Thursday and participate in a peer edit on Friday. If students don't finish their essay by the end of the period on Thursday then it is for homework and will be due on Friday.
Grade 9
Students will continue studying the works of Edgar Allan Poe. This week we will be focusing on The Bells, a poem by Edgar Allan Poe. Students will be looking at sound devices and determining how sound impacts the meaning of a poem. Argumentative essays from The Cask of Amontillado are due on Thursday.
